Funding

SPOT4YOU & SPOT4KIDS helps clients access the best possible options for the right Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Physiotherapy services.

There are a range of funding packages available to cover your therapy, and SPOT4YOU & SPOT4KIDS staff are experts at helping clients access the best possible options

Some of these may be used individually or in combination with others, depending on the services you are eligible for.

There are also instances where funding options can be used in conjunction with your Private Health Insurance provider under various co-payment schemes. Some of these are paid in full while others are rebated.

In some circumstances, we can bulk bill directly, meaning no ‘out of pocket’ expenses for you.

Concession rates are also available for concession card holders.

SPOT4YOU & SPOT4KIDS also has contracts with many Federal and State-funded government organisations where full funding is provided to clients for both Occupational Therapy, and Speech and Language Pathology services.

Below is a list of the different types of funding options that are currently available and the eligibility criteria required to access them.

If you are unsure which one is best for you, simply call us and we’ll happily guide you through the process.

Early Childhood Approach

Help for children younger than 7 years old

If your child is younger than seven and has a disability, or you are concerned about their development, you may be able to get assistance through NDIS’ early childhood approach.

For more information,  simply speak with your treating therapist or visit https://www.ndis.gov.au/understanding/families-and-carers/early-childhood-approach

NDIS

You may be eligible under the disability requirements if you have one or more impairments that are likely to be permanent, which substantially impacts your ability to perform day-to-day activities.

Your impairment must also affect your social life or your ability to work and study, or is likely to require lifetime NDIS support.

You can check your eligibility here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible

To apply, contact NDIS on 1800 800 110. Further information including other ways to apply can be found at https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis

Our therapists can assist in providing you with reports and records to give to NDIS, if required.

Once you are assessed as being eligible, you then have a planning meeting, either face-to-face or over the phone, to work out what support/funding you will receive.
