Isabella Goodison

Registered Psychologist (Provisional)

– Bachelor of Psychology (Honours), University of Wollongong

I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Provisional Psychologist.

Prior to commencing my internship, I enjoyed volunteering with children in both therapeutic and non-therapeutic settings (group and one-on-one). Through my volunteer and clinical work, I became passionate about working with children with disabilities, neurodiversity, and other unique emotional, behavioural, and sensory needs. I have experience supporting young people with varying presentations, such as eating disorders, complex trauma, dissociation, autism, intellectual disability, behavioural issues, anxiety, and depression. My therapeutic style incorporates evidence-based approaches from Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I also have experience preparing and delivering Dialectical Behavioural Therapy group programs to adolescents and adults with complex presentations, such as borderline personality disorder, trauma/complex trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder.

I always strives to take on a patient, compassionate and empathetic approach when assisting clients with their needs. I am passionate about helping children and young people become the best versions of themselves and accomplish their goals, especially those they may not feel capable of, in a warm, safe, and nurturing environment.
