Nina Neyland

Occupational Therapist Aide

Qualifications

I am currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Deakin University.

I chose Occupational Therapy as a profession because I am passionate about supporting all people to find joy and satisfaction in reaching goals in everyday life. My decision to pursue paediatrics came about after my two beautiful nieces came into the world and became a big part of my life.

Prior to starting my Occupational Therapy degree, I spent five years working with a range of people with different needs in outdoor settings. I have worked across Australia taking adults and children on all sorts of adventures from multi-day hikes, snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking. Through this work I gained surf life saving and several first aid qualifications, a Certificate Three in Adventure Guiding and, most importantly, an ability to have fun no matter what the situation.

I would describe myself as empathetic, patient, dedicated and kind.
