Speech Pathologist Aide

– Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management, CQ University
– Bachelor of Business, Southern Cross University

I am a third-year student in the Bachelor of Speech Pathology at Southern Cross University. I have supervised experience providing speech, language and phonological awareness intervention to children at the campus health clinic. In 2024 I will be completing placements in Indigenous Health and Aged Care.

For eight years I worked as a Student Advisor at universities, providing specialist advice to a diverse range of young adult and mature-aged students. I actively worked to boost confidence and motivation so students could reach their full potential and provided advocacy when necessary. As an Examinations Coordinator and HSC Supervisor, I supported adolescent and adult learners during some of their most stressful times and organised extra accommodations for those with special needs to ensure equity.

From my experience as a student and university staff member, I have a love of education and a desire to help people of all ages thrive in their educational pursuits. I am studying Speech Pathology as I am passionate about all things speech, language and literacy. Our lives and relationships are built on communication and I want to support and encourage clients to develop their skills in this area and achieve their goals.
